Sophie Stamp scored her first goal for the England Women’s U19s as Mo Marley’s side edged Italy in the final match of the La Manga Tournament.

Midfielder Stamp was a first-half replacement for Jenna Legg and she struck the winner after 66 minutes.

Following a 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland at the weekend and a 3-2 defeat to France on Monday, this narrow victory will provide a timely boost ahead of next month’s European Championship qualifiers.
